How Clear Aligners Work
To understand the benefits of Clear Aligners, it’s important to understand how they work. Unlike other clear braces and teeth straighteners, Clear Aligners don’t require a visit to a dentist or orthodontist.
Step 1: Make Impressions
The Clear Aligners process starts at home. The starter kit includes putty, teeth trays, cheek retractors, and disposable gloves. After ordering and receiving the kit, you’ll use the putty we send you to make an impression of your teeth just like an orthodontist would. Then, you send us the impressions for our team to analyze.
Step 2: AlignerCo Creates Your Treatment Plan
After we receive your impressions, we’ll create a Smile Projection — a preview of what your smile can look like through the Clear Aligners teeth straightening process. We’ll also send you a customized plan built by our dental experts. This will tell you how often and when you should wear your Clear Aligners. Have questions? Our Smile Specialist Team is always available online or by phone.
Step 3: Start Straightening
Included with this information is both tools you need for straighter teeth: Clear Aligners and retainers. Just follow your plan’s directions and you’re on the way to a straighter smile. Easy as that!
Time: Clear Aligners vs. Braces and Other Invisible Aligners
Clear Aligners Duration
While the Clear Aligners’ treatment duration varies from person-to-person, it is much shorter than the average time for braces. For a lot of customers, they see huge improvements in just 4 to 6 months. Those results come from totally at-home care with guidance from our team.
Typically, our Clear Aligners are to be worn for 20 to 22 hours each day. This way, you can get the results you want in a relatively short amount of time. Treatment plans may call for different amounts, but it is important to adhere to your plan so you can get the most out of your aligners.
For added ease, AlignerCo also offers NightOnly Clear Aligners that you only wear for 8 to 10 hours a night. Without disrupting your daily routine, you can get straighter teeth in as little as 6 to 8 months. They’re not recommended for every case, but they are a great alternative for people that can’t wear them during the day.
The Canadian Dental Association estimates that the average patient wears braces for two years or more. Adding to how long it takes to straighten teeth, braces require extensive aftercare. For many patients, orthodontists glue retainers directly to their teeth.
While effective, this long treatment duration often keeps people from getting braces. It requires years of orthodontist visits, specialty cleaning equipment and interruptions to your daily life.
Other Invisible Aligners Duration
While other invisible aligners promise results in a similar timespan, Clear Aligners are a direct-to-customer solution. Similar products require an orthodontist’s supervision and frequent trips to their offices. AlignerCo places the power of a straighter smile in your hands. No appointments required.
Clear Aligners’ Less Painful Approach
Braces can be a painful solution to your teeth-straightening problems. Putting them on requires metal instruments, long inspections from orthodontists and a lot of time spent with your mouth open. After being installed, the metal hardware can rub your inner mouth while wires poke the back of your gums. Cleaning after eating foods you love can take the joy out of your favorite meals.
As a removable, plastic product, Clear Aligners are a much more comfortable experience. They can be removed for easy cleaning and other than the initial impression, they don’t require inspections and maintenance. You many experience some discomfort at first, but your mouth can quickly adjust to the custom mould and trimmed, rounded edges.
Lower Cost of AlignerCo Clear Braces
The 2018 Canadian Community Health Survey found that over 20% of Canadians skipped visiting dental health professionals, including orthodontists, due to costs. That’s close to 7 million people. Industry sources quote the cost for braces in Canada as anywhere between $4,000 and $13,000 depending on the severity of patients’ issues and the type of braces they get.
AlignerCo’s most popular Clear Aligners package only costs a one-time payment of $1635. Other options include small monthly installments with a down payment or monthly payments with as low as 0% interest. Because each package includes your impression kit, custom dental plan, aligners and retainers, there are no hidden fees. You pay for one thing: your straighter smile.
